Common questions, by topic

Cloud Infrastructure & Provisioning

Provisioning starts as soon as the deploy invoice is paid. You are emailed when the server is ready, and its public IP, SSH details and any control-panel link appear on the server page in your account. If anything needs attention during setup, our team follows up with you by ticket.

You get full root access to every cloud server, whether you run it yourself or chose Company Managed. Paste an SSH public key in the deploy wizard for passwordless login, or use the root password, which is stored encrypted and revealed on demand from the server page — every reveal is logged. The Managed Server Console lets you ask our team to run a command for you; nothing you type there is executed automatically.

The deploy wizard lists every image currently available — Linux families such as Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux, plus any others our team has added. Images that carry a licence fee show it next to the name; everything else is included in the plan price.

At deploy time you can add a RAM upgrade, block storage and additional features. For a running server, open a service request or ticket from the server page and our team confirms the change and pricing with you before anything is applied.

It is a choice you make when you order a cloud or bare metal server. Self-Managed costs nothing extra: you administer the server yourself with root access. Company Managed adds a monthly fee, shown before you order, and our engineers set the server up and look after it for you. Where management is not offered for a machine or an operating system, the order page says so. Your choice is shown on the server's page in your account.

Billing & Payment Methods

Card details are entered inside our payment processor's secure fields and never touch our servers. We keep only a payment token, the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry date — enough to show you which card is on file and to let you pay with it in one click, nothing more.

Sometimes our team asks a customer to confirm that a card is theirs. You will get an email and a prompt in your account; the card is charged $1.00, and the same $1.00 is added to your account balance straight away, so you are never out of pocket. Your balance can be spent on any invoice with “Pay from balance”.

Only when you pay them. When a service is due we email you a renewal invoice, and nothing is charged until you open it and choose how to pay — from your balance, a saved card or a new payment. Every payment appears in your invoices and transaction history.

Go to Account → Payment methods. You can set a default card or remove a card at any time. A saved card is only charged when you pay an invoice with it.

Yes. Top up your balance under Account → Add funds and invoices can be paid from it. Verification credits and any refunds are also returned to the same balance.

Pre-installed Business Apps

An optional step in the cloud deploy wizard. Pick an application — a CRM, an ERP suite such as Odoo, a real-estate ERP, a landing page or an e-commerce storefront — and our team installs and configures it on your server before first boot, so it is ready when the server is.

Each app lists its minimum RAM and disk. The wizard greys out apps your chosen plan cannot run; add a RAM upgrade or pick a larger plan to unlock them. The same check applies when you request an app for an existing server.

Apps are free, a one-time setup fee, or a monthly amount billed with the server. Free apps add nothing to your bill; one-time fees appear on the deploy invoice; monthly apps are included in the server's renewal amount and shown as a separate line.

Yes. Open Account → App Store, choose the app and the active server, and send an install request. Our team confirms by ticket, invoices any paid app first, and installs it on that server.

On an unmanaged cloud server you administer the application and its updates, just like any other software on the box. If you would rather we handle it, order server management or ask for help through a ticket.

Technical Support & Uptime

We monitor the platform proactively and post incidents and planned maintenance on our status page and in Announcements. We do not advertise a headline uptime percentage. If your organisation needs contractual service-level terms, open a ticket and we will discuss what we can commit to for your setup.

Open a ticket from your account (or use the contact form below if you are not signed in). Every reply is emailed to you and kept in the ticket thread, and you can attach files. Our team replies by ticket and email during business hours.

On a Self-Managed server, backups are your responsibility. If you chose Company Managed, backup and restore options are discussed with you during setup. Either way, tell us what you need in a ticket and our team will confirm what is possible before anything is billed.

Infrastructure health is monitored by our team, and customer-impacting events are published on Announcements. For your own workloads on an unmanaged server you are free to run any monitoring agent you like.

Yes. Start from the Migrations page: describe the site or server you want moved and our team guides you through a multi-stage process. Any credentials you share are encrypted at rest and staff access to them is permission-gated and audited.
